Best books for a newbie who wants practical magic, not just philosophy?

I’ve read a few books about Qabalah, and honestly, my brain is melting. I want to learn practical spellwork—stuff I can actually do to see results. What are the best, most straightforward books/resources for a total beginner who is interested in simple protection and prosperity magic? I’m looking for clear steps, not 500 pages of theory.

I hear you. Skip the heavy theoretical texts for now. You need a good grimoire-style book. For practical magic, you can't go wrong with anything by Scott Cunningham (simple Wiccan/Green Witch focus). His books are clear and easy to follow. Once you've mastered the basics, you can circle back to the theory. For now, just start practicing!
